After Ike

Dear friends and family,

Would you prayerfully consider sending us a financial donation to help us in this critical time. As you know the Texas gulf coast is suffering the aftermath of Hurricane Ike. Victory
Family has been affected by this storm. We have suspended all our fundraising efforts indefinitely and our current resources are limited.

The Church has become an overnight shelter for families who have no power. Thanks to Doug Stringer and Somebody Cares America for supplying two emergency generators to our Men's Recovery Center which is currently without electricity. We have had to cancel four church services and will resume worship this week. There are reports that power may take up to four weeks to be restored in some places! As you can imagine our needs are growing daily. Please pray and give as the Lord leads to help us during this time.

Through the Cross,
Pastor Steve Trevino

I have been staying at the church for overnight shelter, however, I was informed this morning that my apartments have regained power. Me and several other memebers have been blessed, and were able and some are still staying at our church. This has been an emotional experience for me,just knowing that there are people out there that care, and to see our church come together as one, is the best gift that I could ever receive from MY GOD!! I just thank the Good Lord, that he has blesed us with such wonderful and loving Pators. Like my spiritual leader said... " Its like Home Away From Home" She couldnt have explained it better... THANK YOU PASTORS!! WE LOVE YOU!!
