Sins Leaders Commit No.2 // Exodus 17:17-27

2. Not Setting clear Goals and Expectations V. 20

Do the words rudderless ship mean anything to you? They should. Effective performance starts with clear goals. If you don’t set goals, your people will have no direction and they will have few challenges.

As a result, men have little motivation to do anything but what is asked of them.

Goals begin with a vision of where leadership desires to be in the future.
Meet with your team to develop realistic, attainable goals that guide them in their efforts to achieve the vision of the ministry or organization.

Don’t leave your people in the dark. People want to help and be a part of the big picture. Help them to help you. By setting goals and then by working with them to achieve those goals your team will have ownership of the vision.

Leaders Listen
Leaders feel responsible for more then their job.
A leader says " There ought yo be a better way to do this"

The Greatness of a Leader is measured by the achievements of the led...

I have to admit, this is an area of growth that God is performing in my own life.

Setting, Communicating, and then checking up on those goals.

Glad to know that even as our Pastor, there is always room for growth, not a lot of people are ready to admit to these things. The heart of true leadership will always guide the people to the one who sent them.and not allure them away.. Keep up the good work!!!
